Reaching beyond the School gates

Engendering generosity in pupils and staff is one of our key aims. We value service to others and charitable giving, and recognise in doing so that we ourselves are strengthened and enriched.

The broad and meaningful programme of outreach activities and partnership arrangements is proof of the School’s commitment to this aim. Staff and pupils both make considerable contributions to the programme and in doing so enrich the lives of many people far beyond the school community.

We work, for example, closely with City of London School for Girls to share facilities for CCF and DofE programmes as well as in Drama, Music and many other activities. We work across the family of Corporation of London schools to bring our communities closer together through music, sport, teacher development and educational research. CLS has for a number of years worked alongside Ark Bentworth Primary Academy and this year is delighted to be supporting the opening of a new IntoUniversity centre and to have forged a transatlantic partnership with Project Rousseau.

Regular and ongoing partnership work is done between CLS and:

  • The Royal Drawing School
  • The Royal College of Music
  • King’s College London
  • University College London
  • Ark Bentworth Primary Academy
  • IntoUniversity
  • As well, of course, with City of London School for Girls and the City of London Schools and Academies
We uphold strong moral values, honesty and integrity, valuing service to others and charitable giving, and recognise in doing so that we ourselves are strengthened and enriched.
