Sixth Form pupil, Louis, has been offered a full academic scholarship to McGill university, Canada.
He will be undertaking a dual major program in Economics and Computer Science, as a way of understanding the technical workings behind today’s globalised economies.
We asked Louis what motivated him to apply to university abroad:
“My motivation behind studying in Canada has been McGill’s generous financial support for international students, especially French citizens, and the variety of possible degree combinations. These range from psychology to economics and even to agribusiness and mining engineering. The city it calls home, Montréal, combines Canada’s breathtaking natural beauty with its French origins and North American influence to create a vibrant and multicultural city that has been dubbed the City of Festivals, providing ample opportunities to escape from the rigors of studying. Canada’s large natural resource industry has also drawn me to the country as I have a particular interest in understanding how natural resource supply chains can be made more sustainable as the world moves towards Net Zero, making the opporunities available in Canada unparalleled.”
