The U16 water polo team played the London Schools final at the end of last term. The league comprises teams from schools in Windsor, Godalming, Bedford, Northampton and Grantham. The CLS team played against the hosts, HABS, and came away with a 4-3 victory.
The next match saw them play much better against a stronger team from Northampton School for Boys, CLS controlled the match and came out with a 2-0 victory. The final match was against the very strong Trinity side; the CLS team played to their strengths and used sound tactical knowledge to slow the match and neutralise the Trinity counterattack. Scoring early goals gave the CLS team a buffer and despite conceding a late penalty, CLS had given themselves enough of a lead to win the match!

Congratulations to the Fifth Form team players Leandro, Casimir, Kyu, Henry, Sidney, Jonah, Liam, Luke, Leonard, Jeffrey, Emiliano and Howie.
On the last day of the Spring Term, the U18 water polo team travelled to Liverpool to compete in the English Secondary Schools National Water polo finals tournament. In the first match the team had a dream start against King Edward School, Birmingham, the first two attacks lead to goals, and the CLS team closed out the match winning 8-1. An early goal against the title holder Trinity proved to be an excellent start to the second match but the opposition scored twice late in the game to secure their win. CLS then played Manchester Grammer in the semi-final,and the CLS team were beaten by some very smart play from their northern opponents.
In the 3rd and fourth play off, CLS faced Bolton School and despite a late Bolton goal, the CLS squad took 3rd place with a well-deserved victory,Congratulations to the team comprising of Fifth to Senior Sixth Form players Alex, Lihan, Miles, Maximilien, Jaime, Freddy, Jonah, Sidney, Leonard and Emiliano.
