The school previously worked with Switchback, between 2018 and 2021, where they were our chosen charity. They do great rehabilitation and relief work for ex-convicts who are looking for a fresh start.
They talked to pupils about raising money: how to do it, who to appeal to, and how to get our message out. We all learnt a lot about what events we can hold in the future, and very importantly, how to effectively advertise our mission to the widest audience for maximum exposure. It was very helpful to hear from them, an established, successful charity, and to receive feedback on our methods and events. We learnt a lot from them too, like how to effectively use different media to appeal and get our message across.
Overall, the workshop was very helpful in how we will raise money in the future, and we are very thankful to Switchback for taking the time to speak to us.
