The day began with an opportunity to meet Linklaters employees and ask questions about their day-to-day experiences as corporate lawyers. Pupils then took part in a presentation on developing oracy and presentation skills before putting what they’d learned into practice.

Working in mixed teams with pupils from other partner schools, they shared their aspirations for the future and offered constructive peer feedback to help one another grow in confidence.

After lunch, the focus shifted to well-being in the workplace. Each group was challenged to design and deliver a short presentation arguing how a company could best support the well-being of its staff. The friendly competition saw teams pitch their ideas head-to-head with creativity and teamwork on full display.

Each group was recognised for their effort and imagination, taking home a Linklaters water bottle as a memento of the day.

The session not only built key communication and teamwork skills but also offered pupils a glimpse into professional life and the importance of supporting well-being in the workplace.
