Entry at 10+, where pupils join us in Year 6 (called Old Grammar), is suitable for bright children with an enthusiasm for learning who will be provided with the stretch, challenge and academic and co-curricular variety that characterises Old Grammar.
Our admissions process is competitive and requires registration for that point of entry, both online and written assessments at School, and an interview.
Registration for 10+ 2027 is now open. Click on the link below to register your child.
Admissions Process
Visit Us
The first step is getting to know us a bit better. Join us at an open day to meet our pupils and staff, and get a sense of what life here is really like.
Registration
You will need to register in order for your child to sit our assessments.
Assessment
All registered applicants complete entrance assessments, which are held at CLS:
- An online assessment, lasting 105 minutes
- A creative writing task, lasting 30 minutes
Interview
If your child scores well in the assessments, they will be invited to back to CLS. They will attend an interview and take part in a group activity. The interview lasts around 20 minutes and provides us an opportunity to get to know your child beyond the initial assessment results. We may also visit families who have applied for a transformational bursary.
Offer
After review of the assessments, interview feedback, and a report from your child’s current school, we may offer them a place at CLS.
