The Great Hall hosted our much-anticipated Winter Spectacular, and it truly lived up to its name – an evening brimming with warmth, humour, and exceptional musicianship.
The Swing Band set the tone with a lively rendition of Here Comes Santa Claus, while the Jazz Orchestra brought the night to a close with a dazzling set of Christmas classics, performed with real flair. Between these two highlights, the Third Form Rock Band shifted the mood with a piece by Radiohead, and the Junior Sixth band, The EC4V, ended the first half on a high with a spirited performance of Slade’s Merry Christmas Everybody.
Throughout the evening, there were impressive performances across the board. Special mention goes to soloists Townsend, Alex, Reza, Nicholas, Alex, and Jamie, whose confidence and energy lit up the stage.
A huge thank you to all our talented performers and to the Music Department for creating such an uplifting occasion to celebrate the season.
