Following a first round of auditions, seven pupils took part in the final, from First Form to Junior Sixth form with performances including a duet, a piano performance, a Cantonese song, and elements of rapping.
The willing judges hailed from the Mandarin department, the Music department, as well as the Head of First Form and Director of Studies. Junior Sixth Former, Yukai, took first place with his touching voice, closely followed by First Form pupil, Aaron, and Gabriel (Junior Sixth Form) in third.
The Music room was packed out with an engaged audience who were amazed by the pupils’ performances and language skills. Junior Sixth Form pupils Townsend, Ken and Alex hosted the event, ensuring everything ran smoothly.
Congratulations to everyone involved – we are already looking forward to round two.
