Green Careers Networking Breakfast

Earlier this week, over 35 pupils attended the Green Careers Networking Breakfast, the third of four Networking Breakfasts this term for Fourth to Sixth Formers run by our Futures Department.

The pupils were excited to rotate around tables in small groups with a fantastic group of CLS Parents and Alumni, who enthusiastically shared insights into their careers and how they are tackling climate change across an incredible array of fields – ranging from Biodiversity Consulting, Climate Risk Management in the Insurance industry, Sustainable Finance and Investing, overseeing Science Innovation Funds, Global energy poverty solutions and Environmental design.

 “I found it interesting how so many different people who studied different things at university can all end up in a sector all related to sustainability.”

This was a valuable opportunity for pupils to explore their academic interests outside the classroom and to see that career paths are rarely linear (an example being the Civil Engineer who is now Head of Climate Analytics at a leading insurance company).

The school’s iconic location allows us to draw in a wide variety of the parent and alumni community who may work nearby. Thank you to those CLS parents and alumni who so generously gave up their time today to support our pupils.
