Impressive Results at GCSE

Thursday, 12 August 2021

They haven’t been the GCSE years that our Fifth Form (Year 11) pupils might have expected. Yet, through the last 18 months, they have worked with real consistency and determination, both face-to-face in School and online. Consequently, they deserve particular congratulation for the impressive set of GCSE results that they receive today.

Head, Alan Bird, commented: “Our Fifth Form pupils have demonstrated remarkable commitment to their studies over the last two years, remaining upbeat and focussed, no matter what compromises have been imposed upon them by the pandemic. I am delighted, therefore, that their hard work has been appropriately rewarded with the impressive GCSE grades that they receive today. I have every confidence that they will go on to contribute brilliantly to the Sixth Form community here at CLS, both inside and outside the classroom.”

We look forward to welcoming these pupils back into the Junior Sixth Form at the start of the upcoming term.
