City of London Police join Year 7 for Pastoral Day

Friday, 25 March 2022

This week we held our annual pastoral day, where pupils participate in a range of off-timetable activites and meet with their form tutor to discuss how they are finding the year.

First Form were excited to welcome the City of London Police into the School. We have a fantastic partnership with the City of London Police and our pastoral day allowed us the opportunity to strengthen this even further through hosting workshops on a variety of different units from their workforce.

Dog Handling units, Specialist First Aid, Fingerprints Bureau Team and Firearms were all present to enthuse our pupils and provide them with greater knowledge about the specific details of each police unit. The pupils had the opportunity to try on the uniform that a Firearms Officer would wear, understand the role that the police dogs play in the force, test their fingerprints and understand the importance of providing basic first aid.

It proved to be an enriching day alongside their tutor conversations which are always crucial to checking in with each pupil as to how they are finding school life and what we can do to assist them further enjoy their time at the school.
