CLS win London Schools FA Cup Championship

It has been an outstanding season for the school's 1st XI. Despite some dominant performances, they have disappointingly crashed out of two cups on penalties and in the National Independent Schools FA Cup last 16 by letting a 2-1 lead slip in the last eight minutes away at Shrewsbury. Monday was their last chance to claim much deserved silverware in the London Schools FA Cup. This is a trophy that has eluded the 1st XI despite this being their third final in four years. On each occasion they have met the London powerhouse of St Charles College.

Thankfully, it was third time lucky for City as they produced one of their best displays of football this season in front of a large crowd at Grove Park with a 3-1 win.

This was nothing more than the team deserved as they end the season suffering just seven defeats in their thirty one games.

Thanks and best wishes go to all Senior Sixth boys who have dedicated a huge amount of time to football over the years.
