Cambridge Admissions Tutor talks to CLS

Thursday, 14 September 2017

On Tuesday afternoon, CLS welcomed back Dr. Michael Sutherland- a Fellow and Admissions Tutor at Corpus Christi, Cambridge, to speak to S6 students from both CLS and CLSG about their fast approaching applications to Oxford and Cambridge.

He explained to them about what Admissions Tutors will be looking for in their applications, from interesting personal statements to evidence of exceptional academic ability, and talked them through how the process works ranging from now - applications forms, then admissions tests and interviews until, hopefully, offers.

He spoke at some length about the admissions tests that will be taken by many candidates on 2 November in school, and advice for preparing (work through the past papers - all of them).
The S6 are now all starting to get their UCAS applications together, with many working to the early deadline for Oxbridge and Medical entries.

We look forward to supporting students’ applications to top universities in the UK and around the world over the year.

Work through the past papers - all of them!
