Pupils mark Holocaust Memorial Day with a series of events

Friday, 26 January 2018

This week CLS has been marking the Holocaust in preparation for Holocaust Memorial Day. The programme of events included talks by two survivors, a lecture on genocide and another on reconciliation, and a ceremony marking Holocaust Memorial Day. As well as outside speakers, boys shared stories from their own families, and read the Jewish prayer of remembrance, Kel Maleh Rachamim (‘God of Compassion’), in Hebrew and in English. All these events were well-attended, and the boys have helped to ensure that the lessons of the past are not forgotten. Particular thanks for organising these events should go to the JSoc team: Joel, Eli and Seth.
