Spring Soiree a stand-out success

Wednesday, 27 March 2019

On Tuesday night, the Friends of CLS hosted the annual Spring Soiree. The event is always one of the stand-out highlights of the year and this was no exception. Raising money for our chosen charity appeal, Tiny Tickers, the night proved a huge success.

There was an admirable range of music - a particular highlight was the ukulele band and their rendition of ‘Wonderwall’ and ‘I Wanna Be Like You’. Huge credit must go to them for such a good performance, which was rehearsed over such a short period.

Mr McBroom's show-hosting and comedic timing was on point, as always, however, it was the charitable aspect that should take most credit. The raffle made over £2000, and the silent auction doubled that. The generosity of the parent and student body was outstanding and the proceeds will be going to such a good cause.

We are already looking forward to next year's Soiree, as well as the other forthcoming charity events year.
