Table Tennis hat-trick for Joseph

Tuesday, 30 April 2019

Fifth Former Joseph has won the 2019 Butterfly National Individual Table Tennis Championship this weekend. This is the third year in a row that he has done it!

He represented City of London School and London East in the 46th National Individual Table Tennis Championships at the Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton, on 27 April.

The Championships is the culmination of the England Schools competition, featuring individual county level champions from around 50 counties vying for the national title.

Joseph competed in the Under 16 Boys category. As he was the top seed, having won the title for the past two years, there was much expectation for him to complete the hat-trick. Rising to the challenge, Joseph battled his way through the competition to emerge victorious once again.

As a result of his win at the National Championships, Joseph has been invited to represent English Schools at the British Senior Schools Invitation International to be held in Guernsey from 28 to 30 June 2019.
