Art teacher wins prestigious prize
Art & Design teacher, Ms Easton has won a prestigious prize at this year's Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition.
The RA Summer Exhibition is the world’s largest open submission, each year exhibiting over 10,000 works. The judges of the Jerwood London Original Print Prize were seeking an artwork that demonstrated an unusual and contemporary leap to using print in any medium and selected Ms Easton’s piece, 'Angel Heart' that used a litho process onto 96 porcelain panels.
Ms Easton has since taught Senior Sixth Form art pupils, Ethan, Hal and Alfie the technique, which they developed into some fabulous outcomes shown in their recent end of year exhibition.
