Year 11 pupil elected to Youth Parliament
Fifth Form (Year 11) pupil, Raphael, has been elected as the new Member of the UK Youth Parliament for the City of London. The UK Youth Parliament provides opportunities for young people to use their elected voice to bring about social change through meaningful representation and campaigning.
Deciding which issues to campaign on proved a difficult task. As a committed competitive swimmer, Raphael is passionate about taking care of our health through exercise, nutrition and wellbeing. As a result, he chose to focus on improving London’s air quality and promoting healthy living and eating.
With an aim to make the City of London an even better place to live, work, study, volunteer and visit, Raphael is looking forward to working with the City Youth Forum and his fellow MYPs as well as engaging as many CLS pupils as possible to bring about meaningful change for the better.
Congratulations Raphael, we look forward to seeing what changes you make in this new role.
