Third Form pupil completes 5k runs, 5 times a week for 5 weeks
Year 9 (Third Form) pupil Raian recently decided to challenge himself. After we launched our 5K for £5 running challenge to raise money for Switchback, Raian took the task one step further and challenged himself to complete 5k runs, 5 times a week for 5 weeks - he called it the 555 challenge.
Having never really enjoyed long-distance running before, he thought it would be a good challenge to set during lockdown and an opportunity to raise even more for Switchback.
He asked his friends and family to support him by making a donation to Switchback and had managed to raise £600 - double his original target!
Raian has caught the running bug and fully intends to keep going. Marathon next?
He called it the 555 challenge.
