Charity Update

Friday, 03 July 2020

As we come to the end of the Summer Term, we wanted to acknowledge the phenomenal fundraising work which has been completed since lockdown began.

Raising for our charity partner Switchback, since March we have raised an outstanding £15,150.91 meaning the running total raised now stands at £24,882 (not including Gift aid). There is still more to come, but considering our major fundraising events have been cancelled or postponed, we're extremely proud of everyone's efforts to get to this total.

There have been several events over the last few months which have helped to contribute to this total including the 5km run challenge, the Virtual Charity Quiz, the Great CLS Bake Off and the Snowdon challenge, to name a few.

In addition to these Whole School events, heroic individuals have taken on personal challenges of their own. Third Form pupil, Patrick, ran 24 miles in 24 hours and raised £1,359 and Josh is currently undertaking a virtual cycle from the Southern-most point of the UK to the Northern-most point, a distance of 969km! If you would like more information, or the opportunity to sponsor him, you can do this here or you can donate directly to our Just Giving page here

Finally, and probably most importantly, thanks to everyone who has run, climbed, donated, created a quiz team, puzzled and baked. There is no doubt that, without the generosity of the School community, including parents, students and staff, we would never be able to raise these amazing totals for the School charity year on year.

We wanted to acknowledge the phenomenal fundraising work which has been completed since lockdown began.
