Art pupils show off their best work in the Summer Exhibition
Last week the Art department held their 2021 Summer Exhibition, a yearly showcase here at CLS.
GCSE and A-Level pupils, along with their family were able to walk around the temporarily re-decorated department; the studio walls adorned with this year’s work.
The art was, as always, of an excellent standard from Year 9 to Sixth Form pupils, each pupil choosing a few pieces to show from their portfolios. Most impressive, however, was the sheer range of media, as pupils produced clay caricatures, plaster casts, prints, drawings, paintings, sculptures, and audio-visual projects.
The exhibition was a fantastic celebration of what pupils have achieved and gives younger artists a glimpse of what they can hope to achieve in the future in the Art department.
Congratulations to everyone involved, and thanks to Mr Beresford-Zahra for leading and organising a stunning show.
