From academic subjects and co-curricular activities to music, sport, societies and our extensive Futures programme, the events offered families a glimpse of what life at CLS looks like in and out of the classroom.
Visitors were able to explore our facilities and speak to staff and pupils across a wide range of departments and activities. In our Science departments, prospective pupils could get hands-on with experiments, while our Music department brought the school to life with performances showcasing the talent and enthusiasm of our pupils.
There was also plenty happening beyond the traditional curriculum. Families could watch chess matches, find out more about the Combined Cadet Force and see our pupils taking part in CCF parades, while the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award team gave an insight into the opportunities available to develop skills and independence outside the classroom.
Our Futures team were also on hand to talk to families about the support pupils receive as they begin thinking about life beyond CLS. From university guidance and careers advice to exploring different pathways and opportunities, the team shared how we help pupils make informed choices about their futures.
Across the school, our pupils played an important part in welcoming visitors, answering questions and sharing their own experiences of life at CLS. Their enthusiasm and openness gave prospective families a real sense of our community and the opportunities available to pupils throughout their time at the school.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. We hope you enjoyed discovering more about CLS and getting a flavour of what makes our school such a vibrant place to learn, grow and get involved.
