The day was our opportunity to recognise the achievements of pupils in all elements of school life, as well as remind ourselves of the values upon which the school life at CLS was founded and still operates, explored in a
series of fantastic speeches. Chair of Governors, Tim Levene recalled the original endowment that John Carpenter left for the full-time education for four boys, the legacy of which can be seen today in both
our bursary program and our charity commitments, supporting those less fortunate so that they may succeed.
Alongside speeches from Head, Alan Bird, and Head Boy, Johnny, pupils who won prizes took turns to walk up to the grand stage and were awarded book vouchers for the John Carpenter Bookshop.
