CLS pupils pride themselves on the range of charity events that they put on each year, from the regular bake sales and quizzes to the annual Sponsored Walk and Sponsored Row. Last weekend, pupils took part in the Sponsored Sleep Out which is undoubtably the highlight of the fundraising effort.
Beginning at 6.30pm, pupils (and willing staff volunteers!) began to trickle in to the School courtyard, burdened by their baggage and brimming with excitement. Once settled in, pupils kept warm by partaking in a long game of football with the teams progressively growing larger and getting better; the camaraderie and good spirits could not be dampened by anything, except, the rain. Despite the persistent drizzle, creativity and fun prevailed. Cards were played, snacks were shared, and birthdays celebrated before everyone took shelter under the stars and prepared for a long night.
