What better way to tell the story of CLS, than to ask the pupils to tell it themselves? Working with guidance from the Young Film Academy, they took creative control of the project from beginning to end, from developing the initial concept, writing the script, filming, directing and editing the final piece.
The result is an authentic and engaging portrait of life at CLS, shaped by the pupils who know it best.
This project gave pupils the opportunity to experience every stage of the filmmaking process. From developing ideas around what makes CLS distinctive to deciding what should make the final edit, they worked collaboratively to turn their vision into a finished film. Working alongside industry professionals from the Young Film Academy gave our pupils an insight into the world of filmmaking, while ensuring that their own ideas and voices remained at the centre of the project.
The film captures much more than lessons and activities. Alongside the academic and co-curricular opportunities that form such an important part of life at CLS, it really showcases the friendships, humour, energy and individuality that make up our School community.
From the pupils creating their story today, to the alumni writing theirs beyond the School, the film brings that journey together in one story.
