Reflecting on his time at CLS, Julius, one of the pupils who secured A*s across the board, said what he will miss the most are “the inspiring conversations with our teachers,” noting that “lessons often felt more like university seminars.” He is thrilled to have confirmed his place at Oxford University to read Classics. Billy, who also gained straight A*s and is going to study Human, Social and Political Sciences at Cambridge University, said the thing he will miss the most about CLS is simply the people, “I’ve had some of the best teachers, and also made friends for life.”
We could not be prouder of the Class of 2026. Their results are not only a reflection of their hard work and determination, but also to the support of their teachers, families, and the wider CLS community.

These record-breaking and highly deserved A-Level results are testament to their focus and their hard work throughout the last two years. We are all enormously proud of their achievements. Throughout their school careers, they added so much to the life of our community, acting as powerful role models and leaders. They are now ready to take their next step, and they move on to pastures new with the very best wishes of us all.”
It’s been a lovely morning here at CLS, with lots of boys coming in to collect their results in person, celebrate with their friends and collect their yearbooks, which are filled with memories of their time at CLS (as well as some very tongue-in-cheek pupil-nominated awards!).
These results mean that 94% of the Class of 2026 secured their firm or insurance choice, with destinations spanning some of the UK’s leading universities alongside elite overseas institutions. 92% of leavers will be heading to a Russell Group or UK Top 10 university, with over 10% of the cohort headed to the universities of Oxford and Cambridge. 37% of leavers are headed to QS World Top 10 institutions, including the University of Toronto and the University of Pennsylvania.
