His research into the First World War experiences of his two great-grandfathers – seen through the lens of class and privilege – uncovered untold stories and offered a moving insight into the personal cost of conflict. He left pupils and staff with the reminder that “remembrance becomes about moral responsibility, an ongoing effort to keep history alive.”
