Yipeng, an accomplished pianist and organist, has been awarded an organ scholarship at Clare College, Cambridge. Adding to Yipeng’s extraordinary achievement, he was recently offered the organ scholarship at Lincoln Cathedral, one of the largest and most iconic cathedrals in the country. Renowned for its awe-inspiring architecture and its powerful organ, the cathedral is a dream destination for any aspiring organist. Last year, he claimed the top prize in the Advanced category on piano at the CLS Young Musician of the Year competition and accompanied the Camerata Choir in a rousing performance of Durufle’s Requiem at St Bride’s Fleet Street.

Edward has begun his studies at Oxford this term, where he is reading English Literature and German at Queen’s College. We are delighted that he was awarded a Choral Scholarship to Merton College, and he is already preparing for the choir tour to Japan later this term. Ed was a stalwart member of CLS Close Harmony, Chamber Choir and the joint Camerata Choir with CLSG, with whom he performed in London and Paris.

We can’t wait to see what they both do next.
