Earlier this week, Old Grammar pupils received a visit from William, a representative of the TfL Safer Travel team. William guided pupils through various aspects of how to respectfully and safely use the London Transport Network to make their journies to and from School.
He spoke on how to correctly use a zip card, the benefits of active travel, how to safely negotiate buses (including the safest places to sit when travelling alone), and how to seek help and assistance at various points around the Transport Network.
We are served by a number of transport hubs on the river: bus, boat, underground, National Rail and the Elizabeth line, as well as nearby Santander Bicycle docking stations.
Pupils actively enjoy their daily commute and our city centre location is regularly cited as the reason parents’ choose to send their children to CLS. Pupils often travel in pairs and groups, as well as individually and we see this as a positive and beneficial element of our pupils’ development.
