Saying goodbye to our Senior Sixth Form
Yet again a wonderful year group enjoyed a fun final day of their school life. Thursday 11 May saw the year group arrive in shorts as they embarked on their summer-themed leavers’ day.
The now traditional and hilarious final leavers’ assembly provided the opportunity for boys to mock one another in their prize awards; categories such as “student most likely to become a billionaire” or “student most likely to become a teacher at CLS” led to much laughter and in some cases embarrassment (there are some things a Head of Year really does not need to know!).
Afterwards the school had provided a generous barbeque for all S6 boys to enjoy and the opportunity for students to talk with and thank their teachers for all of the work and time they have invested in them over the years. The whole morning was good-natured, the sun shone and the boys hoisted a rainbow flag on the school’s flagpole to, in their words, “show what an accepting and open year group we are”. We wish them nothing but the best of luck for their A level exams; the group of boys will certainly be missed around the place.
