Future Guidance

Our Futures programme aims to ensure that pupils are ready for life beyond CLS, in terms of higher education and their professional lives. It places career learning and skills at the heart of a CLS education.

Our geographical location in the capital means we are able to develop exceptional partnerships with our alumni and parent community, and industry partners who support our programme through careers talks and networking events, work-based learning projects and activities, skills development workshops, workplace visits and placements.

From First Form to Senior Sixth, through the curriculum and beyond, our team of experienced teachers and advisers support pupils as they journey from developing career awareness to growing career readiness, from learning how to explore and evaluate career options, to creating and executing plans for their next steps.

Almost all of our leavers take up places at university in the UK or overseas, and we offer comprehensive and high quality data-led guidance throughout the various university application processes. We also encourage and support applications to degree apprenticeships and other workplace programmes.

Our programme helps pupils develop the knowledge, personal qualities and skills underpinning success in higher education and employment. The strong sense of self-awareness they develop throughout their time at school gives them the confidence to make informed decisions that reflect their interests and strengths to seek out and capitalise on opportunities.
