During half term, pupils from Year 7,8 and 9 went on the CLS ski trip.

After an early flight to Salzburg, pupils and staff made their way to the World Cup ski resort of Zauchensee. 14cm of snow during the first two days led to some amazing ski conditions.

Pupils were split into groups based on ability from beginner to advanced, and by day four, all groups managed to get up on the mountain and were skiing across various slopes. The beginner group managed to ski part of a black which was an amazing achievement having spent the first three days on the nursery slope. The pupils spent time at the snow park and played around on the jumps, and advanced and intermediate groups skied through the trees and some off piste runs.

No ski trip is complete without après ski, and to make the most of it, everyone headed to a water park which included 3 thrill seeking flumes and a wave machine. A lot of fun was had on the mountain coaster where pupils were on sleds and flying down the mountain attached to a track. Evenings were spent playing skittles at a local hotel, movie nights with snacks and a very successful quiz night which had prizes for the winners.

The ski trip is always a CLS highlight, and we already can’t wait for the next one!
