Ashley Waters (Class of 2013), Freddie Evans (Class of 2011) and Carlos Austin-Gonzalez (Class of 2014) spoke eloquently and passionately about their Classical background and how university courses such as Classics, Ancient History and Anglo-Saxon Norse and Celtic made the flames of learning burn brighter. It was fascinating to hear of their varied careers, pathways and experiences – from the department of energy to the British Museum and dragon-den style venture capitalist to project management.
Thank you to the alumni in particular for taking the time to come and speak to our pupils; those who attended and listened intently, and to Mrs Wallace and Miss Tooze for their help and resources in organising the event.
