The Winterflood Theatre was alive with energy last week as audiences were treated to a stunning performance of The Three Musketeers by Upper School CLS and CLSG pupils.
Adapted from Alexandre Dumas’ classic, the production delivered a dazzling blend of drama, humor, and action that left spectators captivated—and wanting more.
Senior Sixth Form pupil, Yipeng’s portrayal of the cunning Cardinal Richelieu was a standout, layering menace and complexity into every scene. Meanwhile, Noah’s D’Artagnan brought youthful determination to life as the aspiring musketeer faced trials and foes in 17th-century France. The journey began with an emotional farewell as D’Artagnan and his sister Sabine, played by Erin, left their home in Gascony, setting the stage for a gripping tale of adventure, betrayal, and camaraderie.
The ensemble cast impressed with their depth and nuance. Junior Sixth Form pupil, Aleks, delivered a humorous yet sinister performance as Rochefort, while Athos, Sophie, and the Cardinal intrigued audiences with their evolving motives and secrets.
Equally deserving of applause were the backstage heroes. The production team, led by Miss Martin, ensured seamless transitions, stunning visuals, and atmospheric audio.
