Classes commenced back in September 2024 and the exams took place at the end of January 2025. The pupils worked incredibly hard, the performance pieces were of an excellent standard, and the exam board have noted the fantastic performances of all candidates in the knowledge test.

The complexity of this section of the exam ranges from our youngest candidates answering questions on the characters and situations presented in their scenes, to the pupils in the middle school being tested on their stage acronyms, the reasons for their staging, and their vocal and physical performance choices. Those pupils undertaking Grade 8 Gold in Acting are quizzed on the social and cultural context of their plays, the style of writing, theatrical history, and present on a theatre practitioner of their choice.

Congratulations to everyone involved on a fantastic set of results.
