At City of London School, we are committed to nurturing scientific curiosity and innovation, all of which fed into our recent 'Science Week', an inspiring programme of events that captured the imagination of our entire school community.

The IGEM team delivered thought-provoking assemblies to both Upper and Lower School, while Sixth Form physicists experienced “Physics in Action” through practical applications beyond the classroom.

Mr Browne gave a scholarly and genuinely thought-provoking City Ready lecture on the ‘Philosophy of the Species’ and the week finished with a ‘Chemistry Spectacular’ which transformed our Concourse into a theatre of scientific wonder.

Equally impressive were the City SPARC collaborative projects undertaken throughout the week. Pupils engaged in sophisticated experimentation, from fermentation studies to cardiac analysis of water shrimp, showcasing the kind of independent thinking and research excellence that defines CLS pupils.

Science Week exemplifies our dedication to developing pupils who are not just academically accomplished, but also inquisitive, collaborative, and ready to tackle tomorrow’s scientific challenges with confidence and creativity.
