On the penultimate day of term, our Year 9 pupils took part in a busy morning of activities on the theme of "Careers in AI and AI in Careers"

The day was designed to open their eyes to the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in the working world — not just for coders, but in every profession.

Pupils got hands-on experience with AI tools, learning how to write effective prompts and even how to train their own AI models. Through career exploration talks and activities, they learned how AI will be part of their future, whether they’re interested in medicine, finance, media, law, or art.

A highlight of the day was our inspiring panel featuring two parents working in AI and a 2023 CLS Alumnus, who is studying Computer Science at Imperial. The discussion was insightful, and the questions from our Third Form were impressive.

“I was super impressed by the engagement the Third Form showed! Inspiring questioning, and the fact that some of them have got ‘it’ already on a philosophical and technical level, was outstanding to see.”
