Alex delivered a dynamic “whistlestop tour of careers in finance,” offering our pupils an insider’s perspective on the industry.

His presentation explored the three stages of a company’s life cycle – start-up, scale-up, and established, and explained how the buy-side and sell-side operate and interact at each stage. Drawing on his own professional experience, Alex shared real-world examples of investments his firm has made, giving pupils a practical understanding of how financial decisions shape business growth.

Alex shared his career tips and advice, which helped provide clear pathways for those considering roles in finance. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive: pupils left not only better informed about the investment sector but also inspired by Alex’s journey from CLS to a successful career.

This event is part of our ongoing commitment to connect current pupils with alumni who generously share their expertise and experiences. We are proud of our thriving alumni network and grateful to Alex for returning to CLS to help guide the next generation.
