Jos, Henry and Ethan (each from the class of 2013) all studied Classical degrees at university, with Ethan reading straight Classics at Oxford whilst Jos and Henry decided to study Classical Civilisation at Bristol and Exeter respectively. They all completed A-Level’s in a variety of ancient and modern languages, STEM subjects and humanities – each with a unique combination.
They gave a panel talk to Sixth Form pupils who are interested in studying Classics at university and led an insightful and thought provoking Q&A.
They explained how one of the key benefits of studying Classics at university is the wide variety of topics that can be studied – not only do you learn about the Ancient World but you get experience on politics, religion, philosophy, languages and many more areas.
Each of them have gone on to explore widely different paths whilst all using the skills they picked up following their study of Classics, ranging from teacher to coder, from Software Engineers to solicitor.
